Quality Specialist

Position Classification: Exempt

This position is responsible for maintaining ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 certifications, and also conducting Quality Assurance technician functions for the company. This position reports to the Director of Quality Assurance and Process Improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities

ISO/TS & ISO 14001 Maintenance

  • Assist QA manager in ISO/TS activities
  • Schedule,      organize, and facilitate Management Review meetings, including reporting      on action items that were outputs from previous meetings.
  • Maintain the Quality Management System      (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) including all aspects of      the ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Monitor and measure environmental      performance.
  • Facilitate the planning, development,      and implementation of the Quality and Environmental Systems Document      Control
  • Conduct Corrective and Preventive Action (CaPA) control management and reporting.
  • Assist in conducting internal Audits of ISO systems per plan

Quality Assurance Assistant

  • Maintain company calibration program.
  • Performance of First Article Inspection.
  • Maintain all QA files and retain sample program.
  • Coordinate MRB activities as required.
  •   Performing / reviewing data from periodic product quality audits to finished goods.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office and be capable of operating Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Macola.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects under pressure while meeting competing deadlines.
  • Strong attention to details and organizational skills.
  • Working conditions are in a testing lab office environment. Work may require occasional overtime.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

  • Preferred experience working      in the automotive industry or with automotive industry customers.
  • Must be willing to travel      when needed.

To perform all the duties of blending sealants and maintaining a clean, organized department while insuring consistent high quality batches and making recommendation on equipment and process improvements, and setting monthly goal.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties

1.   Produce required batches to support production schedule.

2.   Perform and record required quality test and batch data.

3.   Maintain a safe, clean and organized working area.

4.   Perform and record sanitation requirements.

5.   Maintain blending equipment and recommend equipment or process improvements.

6.   Support R&D with sealant design and test batches.

 

Responsibility:

  1. Provide a clear concise reporting program on batches and types of sealants produced daily.
  2. Perform daily sanitation audit.
  3. Fill out required information on work orders and quality reports.
  4. Document or maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
  5. Provide written recommendation for department improvements.
  6. Assist bottling production with custom sealant blends.
  7. Make recommendations to improve the production flow.
  8. Review blending schedule and make recommendations.

Skills and Specifications

  1. Must have a working knowledge of forklift operations.
  2. Read and write English clearly.
  3. Fill out daily information on an Excel spreadsheet and be familiar with Office suite and Macola.
  4. Understand quality requirements of position.
  5. Be mechanically inclined.
  6. An ability to understand blending, weighing and pumping equipment are required for the position.

  1. Ability to Stand for a long period of time
  2. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

  1. Education:  High School Graduate or G.E.D.,
  2. Experience: 2 Years of warehouse or production work

International Sales Support Specialist for Latin America

Job Profile and Description

The International Sales Support Specialist role is to assist Marketing and Sales Managers through tasks that are international customer based, act as a liaison for the Marketing and Sales Department, and to provide account management to aftermarket customers.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Plan and attend Sales Shows and nation-wide meetings
  • Trade Shows- plan and attend trade shows and manage distributor and smaller trade shows.
  • Sales/Marketing Reporting – Provide monthly and weekly sales/marketing reports and vendor reports, as requested.
  • Promotion and price maintenance
  • Customer POS Reports – Keep up to date POS reporting
  • Crystal sales Reports for aftermarket customers
  • Sales/Marketing – Research and Data collection
  • Sample Request and fulfillment
  • Rep News Coordination – Manage quarterly customer calls and communication

Skills and Specifications 

  • Comprehensive working knowledge of company processes      and entire product offering.       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional “people skills.”
  • Clear understanding of how each of our channels of      distribution operates and the various pricing structures for each.
  • Competence in the use of numerous computer programs      including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and      Access), JD Edwards, and Goldmine.
  • Ability to multi-task, remain flexible and evaluate      priorities on a constant and ongoing basis.
  • Bilingual, Spanish, strongly preferred.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Physical Requirements

  • This position requires heavy lifting on a daily      basis.
  • Travel up to a week at a time and generally 4-5 weeks      per year.
  • Weekend shifts and long hours when applicable.
  • Long hours of standing on a periodic basis.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of environments including office, warehouse, tradeshow and others.
