Financial Analyst  (San Luis Obispo)

Position Classification: Exempt

The Financial Analyst reports to and works closely with the Controller to produce timely, accurate Financial Statements for the Company.  Under the guidance of the Controller the Financial Analyst maintains financial records and Accounting systems related to all the financial aspects of the Company.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Prepares Monthly Consolidated Financials along with variance analysis schedules by the second business day for Controller’s review and sign-off of earnings.
  • Assures that all accounting methods used adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Responsible for timely entering of monthly and quarterly Financials into ITW Corporate reporting software (FRIDA); and weekly FLASH sales FRIDA reporting.
  • Prepares quarterly Inventory Grading and A/R reserve calculations for all Companies.
  • Oversees inventory standard costing and cost absorption.  Prepares monthly Overhead Absorption entry and year end analysis
  • Performs Cost of Goods Sold analysis monthly and communicates variances to Management.
  • Responsible for monitoring, maintaining and keeping the A/R Aging cleaned up.
  • Responsible for Quarterly profitability studies for 80/20 customers.
  • Responsible for Finance review and signoff for all new products and raw components
    • Review item master set up for accuracy
    • Location set up
    • Review Bill of Materials
    • Verify final costing agrees to original financial justification
  • Administration of Corporate Insurance policies (Surveys, etc.)
  • Oversees and is the point person for the annual audit – Timing of this responsibility is TBD.

Brand Marketing Director  (San Luis Obispo)

Position Classification: Exempt 

The Brand Marketing Director grows and consistently maintains the Slime brand across all markets and channels. This individual grows brand awareness, market share and sales.

 

This individual supports sales by providing competitor analysis, market trend and new product data. The Brand Marketing Director provides creative input on promotions and executes rebate programs.

 

This individual assists with the development of new products, refreshing the brand image via product packaging, merchandising displays, promotions and PR. They refine the brand strategy and identity while increasing brand awareness and loyalty. This individual assists the EVP of Marketing in developing the annual marketing and promotions strategy. She or he develops the creative strategy using the feedback from customers, vendors, sales, management and market research studies to guide actions. The Brand Marketing Director conducts targeted market research via: focus groups, surveys, internal and external product tests for key prospective new products and product line refinement.

Duties and Responsibilities 

-       Manages sales collateral.

-       Supports Graphic Designers, customers and Sales to create and promote dynamic displays and merchandising tools that enhance product knowledge and increase sales. Consistently promotes the Slime brand and company image. 

-       Creates retail sets using ProSpace software.

-       Works with sales by attending tradeshows and sales meetings as needed. 

-       Works with Sales to develop marketing strategy and promotions schedules for key accounts.

-       Provides competitor analysis, market trend data and creative support.

-       Manages public relations schedules, consumer events, and web contests.

-       Brings ideas to senior management. Suggests for improvements and opportunities to increase sales and expand brand awareness.

-       Provides direction on international marketing and promotions.

-       Provides creative support for the graphic design department, working in Adobe Creative programs as necessary to provide graphic support for projects with tight deadlines

-       Works closely with the EVP of Marketing, Creative Director and New Product Development Team – to ensure all brand identity elements are adhered to.

-       Manages market research tools including: survey research, focus groups, initial internal product tests and external product trials.

-       Assists as needed on priority projects as directed by EVP of Marketing

-       Manages: International Marketing Manager, Brand Image Specialist and Bike/Moto Brand Manager

Skills and Specifications

  • Must be able to manage several projects at once
  • Candidate must have a solid understanding of marketing and the promotion of consumer products.
  • Must be familiar with PR tatics

Production Lead  (Arkansas Location)

Position Classification: Non-Exempt

Review production schedule, adjust and operated equipment, visual check of equipment, making recommendation on process improvements or changes to increase production capacity, and achieve monthly goals. Also assists supervisor in coordinating activities and staff in the production processes and quality inspections.

Blender (Arkansas Location)

Position Classification: Non-Exempt

To perform all the duties of blending sealants and maintaining a clean, organized department while insuring consistent high quality batches and making recommendation on equipment and process improvements, and setting monthly goal.

Duties

  • Produce required batches to support production schedule.
  • Perform and record required quality test and batch data.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized working area.
  • Perform and record sanitation requirements.
  • Maintain blending equipment and recommend equipment or process improvements.
  • Support R&D with sealant design and test batches.

 

Responsibility

  • Provide a clear concise reporting program on batches and types of sealants produced daily.
  • Perform daily sanitation audit.
  • Fill out required information on work orders and quality reports.
  • Document or maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Provide written recommendation for department improvements.
  • Assist bottling production with custom sealant blends.
  • Make recommendations to improve the production flow.
  • Review blending schedule and make recommendations.
  • Must have a working knowledge of forklift operations.
  • Read and write English clearly.
  • Fill out daily information on an Excel spreadsheet and be familiar with Office suite and Macola.
  • Understand quality requirements of position.
  • Be mechanically inclined.
  • An ability to understand blending, weighing and pumping equipment are required for the position.
  • Ability to Stand for a long period of time
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

 

Education and Qualifications

  • Education:  High School Graduate or G.E.D.,
  • Experience: 2 Years of warehouse or production work
  • Other: Forklift Certification on Sit Down and Stand Up forklifts.

Rate of pay is $10 per hour.
