I mountain bike about 4 times a week 10 miles a day on average and I have had 4 flats in the past 2 months with standard MTB tires from cactus thorns and debris. I have switched to the the Super thick pre-filled and no worries. The only sacrifice is the weight, you will not want to race on these they make you over all wheel much heavier for training though it works.
